Segundo o Sindicato, parte dos professores contratados no último processo seletivo não recebe salários compatíveis com sua titulação

Professores doutores da Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros (Unimontes) recebem salários inferiores à sua titulação, equivalentes ao que é pago a mestres, enquanto esses têm salários de especialistas. A distorção é denunciada pela Associação dos Docentes da Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros (Adunimontes).
Além disso, a universidade não realiza concurso público para professor há mais de 10 anos e paga salários com defasagem de mais de 82%, segundo o presidente do Sindicato, Wesley Helker Felício da silva, para quem está em curso um processo de precarização total dos salários da categoria
“Sem concursos e com salários defasados, a tendência é a universidade sofrer com uma fuga constante de cérebros, quando pesquisadores qualificados deixam a região em busca de outras universidades públicas que valorizem sua formação e seu trabalho”, destacou o presidente da Adunimontes.
Para aprofundar o que ele chama de “pacote de maldades”, há uma pressão por parte do governo Zema e da Reitoria para realizar o concurso nos moldes parecidos com o último processo seletivo, ou seja, aumentando a carga horária dos professores efetivos, ao mesmo tempo em que os sub-remunera, agravando um quadro que já inclui mais de 10 anos sem o pagamento das Dedicações Exclusivas.
A Adunimontes avalia que o cenário atual é um desastre não apenas para os professores, mas para toda a comunidade acadêmica e para o desenvolvimento regional, porque ameaça diretamente a qualidade do ensino, da pesquisa e da extensão na Unimontes.
