Caminhonete de prefeitura de Buritizeiro foi apreendida com mercadorias ilegais na Fernão Dias. Segundo a PRF, o veículo público era usado para transporte de produtos destinados a loja privada. Quatro pessoas foram detidas e encaminhadas à Delegacia de Polícia Judiciária em Varginha
Quatro pessoas foram detidas na manhã desta quarta-feira (15), durante uma operação de combate ao crime na Rodovia Fernão Dias, em Carmo da Cachoeira (MG). Segundo a Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), o grupo estava em uma caminhonete vinculada à Prefeitura de Buritizeiro (MG), que estaria sendo utilizada de forma irregular para fins particulares.
Durante a abordagem, os policiais encontraram diversos volumes na caçamba do veículo contendo mercadorias de origem estrangeira, como maquiagens, ferramentas e eletrônicos, sem documentação fiscal válida.
Conforme a PRF, apurações iniciais indicam que o veículo, abastecido com recursos públicos e conduzido por um servidor municipal em horário de serviço, teria sido usado para ir até São Paulo (SP) com o objetivo de adquirir produtos destinados ao abastecimento de uma loja privada em Pirapora (MG).
Além do motorista, também estavam no veículo outros ocupantes, incluindo servidores públicos municipais, o que, segundo a ocorrência, aponta para o uso de mão de obra custeada pelo poder público em benefício de atividade comercial particular.
Ainda segundo a PRF, com base em relatos colhidos no local, a ação teria sido realizada a pedido de um ex-prefeito do município, reforçando os indícios de desvio de finalidade no uso da estrutura administrativa. A situação pode configurar, em tese, crimes como peculato, prevaricação e associação criminosa.
Os quatro envolvidos — dois homens, de 70 e 44 anos, e duas mulheres, de 43 e 36 anos —, além do veículo e das mercadorias, foram encaminhados à Delegacia de Polícia Judiciária em Varginha (MG). Após contato com a Receita Federal, foi determinado o envio dos itens apreendidos ao órgão para as providências legais cabíveis.
