De acordo com a Adunimontes, a defasagem salarial dos professores da Unimontes, acumulada em 10 anos, chega a 85%.

Universidades estaduais de São Paulo (USP) e de Campinas (Unicamp), além da federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) têm entre 80 e 90% dos seus professores com dedicação exclusiva às instituições, enquanto na Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros (Unimontes) esse percentual é de irrisórios 16%. A distorção é uma das principais queixas da Associação dos Docentes da Unimontes (Adunimontes).
O presidente da entidade, Wesley Helker Silva, explicou que pelo regime de dedicação exclusiva (DE) o professor não pode acumular cargo em outro local, ficando exclusivamente por conta do ensino, pesquisa e extensão na universidade.
“E isso que faz com que instituições de ensino superior como a USP, Unicamp e URFJ sejam referências no Brasil e no mundo”, destaca. Além do baixo índice, a Unimontes está há 10 anos sem pagar as novas DE`s. A questão em torno delas é um dos pontos do acordo de greve firmado com o governo do Estado em 2016, que não foi cumprido.
O documento também prevê a incorporação das gratificações ao salário, composto entre 40 e 60% por esses penduricalhos. Isso, porque o vencimento básico da categoria é considerado muito baixo, o quinto pior das carreiras do Estado.
Na eventualidade de o professor precisar se ausentar, por questão de saúde ou para estudar, perde a gratificação. “Ou seja, será penalizado por adoecer ou querer se qualificar”, assinala Silva. Ao incorporar as gratificações, essas distorções serão corrigidas, entende o presidente da Associação.

Dia 26 de março os professores protestaram contra a proposta de reajuste de 5,4% do governo estadual, considerada inaceitável pela Adunimontes e pela Associação dos Docentes da Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (Aduemg), que buscavam recomposição maior.
Apesar da pressão dos servidores, as emendas que propunham um índice maior de reajuste (9,36%) foram derrotadas em plenário, graças aos votos da base governista na Assembleia Legislativa.
