    O Comando Central dos Estados Unidos para o Oriente Médio (Centcom) informou que três soldados estadunidenses morreram e outros cinco ficaram gravemente feridos em um bombardeio iraniano. São as primeiras mortes confirmadas entre militares dos EUA desde que Washington e Tel Aviv iniciaram uma série de bombardeios de grande escala contra alvos do Irã.
    Segundo o Centcom, a situação ainda está em desenvolvimento e novos detalhes não foram divulgados. “A situação está em constante mudança, por isso, por respeito às famílias, reteremos qualquer informação adicional, incluindo a identidade dos guerreiros mortos em combate, até 24 horas depois que seus familiares tenham sido informados”, afirmou o comando militar em publicação nas redes sociais.

    Outros soldados sofreram ferimentos classificados como leves, provocados principalmente por estilhaços e traumatismos cranianos, mas foram recolocados em suas funções. O presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, já havia advertido no sábado (28) o que mortes entre as forças estadunidenses eram esperadas após o início da ofensiva.

    Míssil derruba prédio e mata civis em Israel
    A resposta militar do Irã atingiu diretamente Israel. Equipes de emergência informaram que um míssil iraniano provocou o colapso de um prédio residencial na cidade de Beit Shemesh, no centro do país, deixando pelo menos nove mortos e 28 feridos, dois deles em estado grave.
    Segundo os socorristas, houve “impacto direto” do projétil, que causou “danos importantes” e levou ao desabamento do edifício onde estavam civis.
    Diante das mortes, o primeiro-ministro israelense Benjamin Netanyahu falou em “dias dolorosos” durante um pronunciamento.
    “Estes são dias dolorosos. Ontem aqui em Tel Aviv, e agora em Beit Shemesh, perdemos pessoas queridas. Meu coração está com as famílias e, em nome de todos vocês, cidadãos de Israel, envio meus votos de plena recuperação aos feridos.”

    Ataques se espalham pela região
    A campanha de retaliação iraniana também atingiu outros países do Golfo. Autoridades informaram que ataques com mísseis e drones provocaram mortes e feridos nos Emirados Árabes Unidos e no Kuwait desde sábado.
    Nos Emirados, ao menos três pessoas morreram e 58 ficaram feridas, de acordo com o Ministério da Defesa. O país afirmou ter detectado 165 mísseis balísticos, dos quais 152 foram destruídos, além da interceptação de dois mísseis de cruzeiro. Também foram detectados 541 drones iranianos, com 506 interceptados.
    No Kuwait, uma pessoa morreu e 32 ficaram feridas nos bombardeios. As autoridades informaram que todas as vítimas são estrangeiras.
