A Prefeitura de Montes Claros e a AMASBE (Agência Municipal de Água e Saneamento de Montes Claros) informam que a Copasa já iniciou a devolução de valores cobrados indevidamente dos consumidores sem autorização do Poder Público Municipal.
A devolução desses valores se fundamenta nos autos da ação civil pública nº 5010549-16.2017.8.13.0433, ajuizada pela Prefeitura. A devolução se dá conforme pedido formulado pelo Ministério Público do Estado de Minas Gerais e acolhido pela 2ª Vara da Fazenda Pública da Comarca de Montes Claros, tendo sido estipulado o período entre março/2019 e julho/2021 para os cálculos dos valores a serem devolvidos.
A Prefeitura e a AMASBE informam que as devoluções se darão nas próximas faturas/contas de água, conforme determinado na decisão judicial, proferida em caráter liminar, portanto sujeita a eventual alteração.
