O diretor-geral da Polícia Federal (PF), Andrei Rodrigues, retirou as credenciais diplomáticas de um agente de imigração dos Estados Unidos que atuava na sede da PF em Brasília.
Segundo ele, a iniciativa é um ato do governo brasileiro em reciprocidade à decisão do governo estadunidense de determinar a saída do delegado brasileiro Marcelo Ivo de Carvalho, também da PF, dos EUA.
“Eu retirei, com pesar, as credenciais de um servidor dos EUA pelo princípio da reciprocidade”, afirmou Andrei durante entrevista ao programa Estúdio i, da GloboNews.
A Agência Brasil entrou em contato com a assessoria de imprensa da Polícia Federal para confirmar a informação e também para pedir detalhes sobre a substituição do delegado Marcelo Ivo pela delegada Tatiana Alves Torres.

Ramagem foi solto na última quarta-feira (15) após ficar dois dias preso na Flórida.

Na terça-feira (21), o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva comentou o caso durante viagem à Alemanha, e falou em em reciprocidade.
“Acho que, se houve um abuso americano com relação ao nosso policial, nós vamos fazer a reciprocidade com o deles no Brasil. Não tem conversa”, disse Lula
